I’ve done it before, and I’m sure you have too

I’ve done it before. I still accidentally do it. And I’m sure you have too…

Used a personal account to create or share company information in collaboration tools like Google Workspace and OneDrive. Not on purpose, not in a malicious way. Just innocent, plain old accidental sharing.

At least, I know half of us have, because that’s what you told me the last time I asked you about your collaboration behavior at work.

Well this time I’ve got a quick guide for you. It’s about personal accounts and the risks of using them at work.

Here’s what it covers:
  • Common scenarios where personal accounts are used to access company documents
  • What risks come with personal account access
  • How to secure cloud collaboration tools used at work from personal account access
With all the security leaks these days, I believe we should all understand what kind of risks exist.

Since you’re on my newsletter I’m not going to make you fill out a form to get the PDF. Get access to the guide here. And feel free to share it with your IT and Security teams, too.
