MicroFounder - Traffic-first startups 🚗

MicroFounder View Online
It's possible for a solo developer to build a profitable microstartup to pay the bills and live life on their own terms.

When starting a startup as a solo developer, there’s always this very important question: where do I find my first customers?

Twitter and cold emails are the most popular among microfounders. Facebook and Reddit groups too.

All of these mean that you find out where your potential customers are hanging out and go there to show them what you’re building.

But there’s a different way: build an interesting content site for your potential clients and let them come to you. Build a traffic-first startup.

No one likes it when a stranger comes knocking on the door to sell them something. Everyone wants to sell something these days and we’re almost immune to emails or DM-s from strangers.

So, there’s an immense value when a customer comes to you! Some points to keep in mind:

🐌 it can take some time to get relevant traffic, start right now!
📨 continue working on your cold outreach as it gives faster results
😉 focus on creating something genuinely useful for your potential clients (this will pay off long-term)
