Elon Musk has notified Twitter through a letter that he intends to move forward with the deal. The transaction will close at $54.20 per share. It is unclear why Musk changed his mind. The court recently published a trove of Musk's texts and approved a request for Twitter to review texts from Musk's inner circle. Twitter's stock price jumped more than 12% following the news.
