From the bottom to $6M/y (super inspiring)

Today's hack
From no job, no money, no home, no health, through a rehab center, now his business makes $6M annually...

I have never shared stories like this. Usually I talk about people who start from 0.
This guy started from 100 miles below 0.

In 2003, Khalil Rafati was sleeping on the streets, strung out on heroin and cocaine, and weighed just 109lbs (49.5kg).

Today he owns a company that makes $6M annually...

Here’s his story:

In 1992, age 21, he moved to Los Angeles with dreams of becoming a movie star.

In 1993 - 2003, his dream collapsed 100s of times and he started to use alcohol, marijuana, and eventually heroin and crack cocaine.

In 2003, luckily, he was saved after his 9th overdose. He decided to put himself into a rehab center.
After 4 months he was clean.

In 2003 - 2007, he was working 7 days a week, 16 hours a day at two rehab centers, washed cars, walked dogs, did gardening work. And eventually he was able to save money.

In 2007, Khalil opened his own rehab center for clients who would pay $10,000 a month to stay at the facility.
1. He felt the pain of his clients and knew how brutal lethargy can be in sobriety.
2. To ease their pain, he started to experiment with yoga-style juices to help his clients with detox.
3. One of the smoothies became so popular that even people who were not part of his rehab center were coming to buy one (= Product/Market Fit).

In 2011, he decided to open a juice bar where he was selling only juices.
Sales topped $1 million that first year.

In 2017, he owns six outlets, travels by private jet, and makes $6M/year.
Looks like Khalil’s life story could be the plot of a Hollywood movie.
