Hey, everyone… How was everyone’s summer? Productive? Fun? Harmful for your skin? Glad to hear it!

I understand that it has been, like, several months since I’ve posted anything here. I’m pretty sure anyone who frequents here nowadays are bot accounts and god knows what other beings lurk around the internet seeking to find information to sell. But anyway, yeah… Sorry for the wait. I can’t say that I’ll be back to posting stuff on a regular schedule but please know that I’m still keeping busy (most particularly with my novel draft).

Personal writing updates aside, you’re all probably wondering what this post is even about. In short, I’ve been fixated on Chainsaw Man ever since the season one anime premiere happened a week ago and after catching up with part two of the manga series. More specifically, I’ve been obsessed with the opening theme song of the series, “KICK BACK” by Kenshi Yonezu. Seriously, I’m pretty sure that I’ve given myself several concussions from banging my head to the song so many times. And, thus, this recent obsession has led me to write dumb little English lyrics for me to read and hum to myself while working out or while taking a shower or while stuck in traffic. So, while the internet has yet to produce a proper English cover of the song in question, I figured that I might as well dump my interpretation of the song below since it was only going to collect dust on a Word document. Why not share fanboy cringe with strangers and solicitors on the internet?
