But according to data of over 3.2 Billion pop-ups and opt-in forms by Sumome, the average email opt-in rate is just 1.95%.
InboundAscension was able to see a 5% opt-in rate - that's 2.5 times more leads.
But then they improved their approach and achieved a 58% opt-in rate! That's 29 times more leads!

So how they were able to achieve this?
They switched from generic offers in their opt-in popups to "the next step" offers.
What does that mean?
When someone reads your article, they are interested in the subject they are reading right that second.
So your goal is to offer "the next step" piece of content related to the current content.
For example:
If someone reads your article “How to improve your headlines for more clicks” then a next step bonus should be dedicated to headline improvement (not an entire book on copywriting)…
