Since last week’s news about Revue potentially going away, it has been very top of mind, and if I’m being honest, it’s caused me a lot of anxiety. Also, I’ve had a few folks reach out asking about my plans.
Here are some things I’ve been thinking about:
  • Will I be able to keep my content? (We’re talking 300 issues, you know?)
  • Do I need to find a platform that does something similar? Or more? (Is it time to get more features?)
  • How hard is this migration going to be? (These things often seem scarier than they are. And I am not a fan of change.)
And last but not least…
Is this even true?
While the rumor mill has been hard at work, we haven’t heard from Twitter or Revue that the service was ending. A fellow Revue user told me that she reached out to support, and they said they had no plans to retire the service. I got a similar answer.
I told them that if that is the case, they should let their users know that they are not shutting down, as folks are freaking out (😱) and leaving the platform. They said they would “pass it along.”
Ultimately, it could be that they are shutting down but can’t say anything yet. Or they could be telling the truth, and there are no plans to retire Revue.
So what do we do?
Many users have already moved their content to other platforms. Substack, Ghost, beehiiv, and Convertkit are popular alternatives.
My plan is to keep #jesspicks on Revue. There is a reason I’ve stayed on the platform as long as I have, and a big part of it is that it makes it very easy for me to put together this newsletter.
Also, right now, I really want to focus my limited capacity on shipping a few things before the end of the year, including a new beta offer you can read more about below.
Don’t get me wrong. I realize that this situation can change very quickly. I have established a content backup on a beehiiv account between us, and the tool seems incredible. And I’m automatically exporting my subscribers to a Google spreadsheet using Zapier. Having control of my data and content in this way makes me feel more at ease.
It may make sense to move away from Revue at some point, whether it goes away or not. For now, though, I’m taking a “wait and see but be ready to jump quickly” approach because that feels like the right move.
In other exciting news… 🥁
I have a brand new offer for anyone struggling to figure out their side hustle.
You come in with any ideas about your side hustle, and I’ll help you figure out which one will be perfect for you. In just one day! It all happens on Voxer, and I’m taking a couple of beta testers for only $97. Go here to check it out!

Those “You just got paid” notifications in my email are always a pleasure to receive, and I want to see if I can do more with that income stream. Excited to dive into Ruth Wilcox’s new course, where she shares her strategies, how-tos, examples, and tips on boosting affiliate sales. You can snag it for $150 through 11/16. (and yes, that’s my affiliate link! 😉)
  • 📺. Watching: Coraline. I finally watched this movie, thanks to the urging of my physical therapist as he said it was a must-watch, and it turned out to be. A girl who is lonely and neglected by her parents find a parallel world in her house, which seems too good to be true. You know what that means, right? It probably is. It was a fun animated film. I definitely enjoyed it.
