Inspire, a TikTok-like shopping experience within the existing Amazon app is arriving in the US in the coming months.

Shoppers will be able to go through a short-form video and photo feed to be *inspired*, explore products, and shop from content created by influencers, brands, and other customers. When you first click on the feature, you'll be asked to select your interests in order to personalize your Inspire feed, like any other social media app.

This integrated shopping feature is meant to make "shopping easy and fun" noted Amazon Shopping director Oliver Messenger, with an obvious goal to drive sales on Amazon.com directly and keep users in-app instead of through eComm features on social platforms.

This is not the first time Amazon has introduced social-like features to get shoppers closer to the point of purchase but most attempts thus far have failed. Will this new iteration be a fresh win for Amazon?
