In the past two months, I've been thinking about and creating a whole new way to teach marketing around the principle of joy - socials optional. It's based on my research and experience.
I'm really excited about it, because I wanted to create a way to teach marketing that helps you take matters into your own hand and feel really, really good about how you share your work with the world.
To me, it's the best and most sustainable way I've ever seen anyone teach small business marketing. It's cutting edge - and that's what I'm here for.

Practical Business Tip: 
How to Find the Right Course Platform for You
For today, I have a practical business tip for you. If you sell or want to sell courses online, navigating the jungle of all the different platforms can be a job and a half. How do I know? I literally did that for days in December, when I realized my existing setup wasn't working.
I recently saw somebody ask about this in a business community group and gave them a detailed answer based on my experience. I also want to share it with you here, in case you need it.
If you're looking for a course platform, consider these three things:
1. Tax Considerations 
Which country are you in? It helps to choose a platform (and payment processor) that automatically calculates the correct taxes for you or acts as a merchant of record. The smoother here, the better. You don’t want to f*** up your taxes or do everything manually here, because that would drain your energy and really put a damper on your business’ growth.
2. Automations 
Which set up helps you automate the most. For example: When you do the Wordpress + Stripe + redirection combination: do all those platforms integrate seamlessly? Do you feel confident setting up an automation through a platform like Zapier in case they don’t?
From my experience: I used to have a set-up where different tools were duct-taped together digitally and it kept me up at night. What if somebody buys something and the delivery is messed up? It’s a damper on your growth, because in that case you can only serve as many people as your wonky automation can.
3. Usability for you 
After narrowing down according to 1+2: which of the remaining platforms do you like to use? Once you’ve got the admin stuff settled, make sure you choose something that you actually like using. 
If not, administering your course and adding onto it will be more of a chore than it ever needs to be.
