Happy New Year!!

I hope you & yours had an amazing holiday, and a literally unforgettable 2022.

My goal in 2023 is do more things that make me feel alive, including continuing to build & grow Seis, getting in better shape, and doing more IRL things with friends, family, and even acquaintances.

Surprisingly low IMO! Also it takes a lot of time for him to make a video (>100 hours) - though to be fair I don’t have any real benchmarks.

Why is procrastination so rampant, and something almost everyone seems to deal with in at least some parts of their life?

The money quote: “being in the middle of doing the work is usually less painful than being in the middle of procrastinating.”

This feels… very true! So why can’t we get over the hump when we know the other side of the hump feels better than where we currently are?

1. We forget the other side feels better
2. We inconsistently value the other side less

The vast, vast majority of companies can run much leaner.

You hear about startups all the time that die because they overhired.

I’ve never - once - heard about a startup that failed because they didn’t hire quickly enough. (If you do have an example I would love to hear about it)
