Main Street Insiders - Main Street = Lots and Lots of Elons
It’s been mind-blowing to watch Elon Musk overhaul Twitter. He slashed 75% of the staff while adding features and reaching a record number of users. He brought back many high-profile banned accounts. And he continues dropping the Twitter Files, revealing the company’s outright censorship, interference, and collusion with the US government to control the narrative. That includes the election narrative, the COVID narrative, and the groomer narrative. ![]() Much more to The Twitter Files: Covid Editon than this introductory thread.
Follow-up piece to come next week, featuring leading doctors & researchers from Harvard, Stanford & other institutions. ![]() David Zweig @davidzweig It’s a sight to behold and might be a pivotal moment in history. Here’s why it’s important: Twitter is technically a private company, but many – including Musk – consider Twitter a digital town square. Cornell Law School explains:
Twitter fits the description. As a result, free speech should be protected on the platform. But it wasn’t. It was crawling with intelligence assets and in constant communication with government agencies about what speech should be allowed and what should be censored. All in blatant violation of the First Amendment. ![]() INFOGRAPHIC: Key Revelations of the ‘Twitter Files’
Documents revealed by #Twitter’s new owner, tech billionaire @elonmusk, show the social media company intertwined with a government-private censorship apparatus. (Thread👇)
Full resolution image here: theepochtimes.com/infographic-ke… Conservatives have long alleged that Twitter cooperates with the US Government to suppress speech and control the narrative. We were called liars and conspiracy theorists. Elon bought Twitter and showed us the truth. The ripple effects of these revelations will be felt for a long time. The Hero TrapAll this progress was made by one guy. And it’s only the tip of the iceberg. If you assess the social, economic, and political damage done by old-Twitter’s censorship, imagine what we’d reveal in the Google Files, the Facebook files, or the FBI files. ![]() 1. THREAD: THE FACEBOOK FILES
Twitter is not the only social media site to face pressure to censor content. I obtained emails showing that the CDC had significant influence over covid moderation at Facebook and Instagram. Here’s what I found. We’ve been silenced and punished over the last few years for speaking out against the elites. One guy is waking us up to a reality that was hidden. One guy is giving us our voice back. With that said, do we really want to rely on billionaire super heroes to swoop in and save our country? It would be like paying most of your salary cap to secure the best quarterback in the league, then packing the rest of your roster with dudes from the practice squad. One sprained ankle and your season is tanked. Elon’s opinion on free speech could change at any time. Or he could hand the company back over to left-wing, censor-happy nuts. If Elon goes down, we all go down. We can’t have single points of failure like this. As the Navy SEALS say, “two is one and one is none”. Main Street MogulsWe lucked out with Elon’s purchase of Twitter. But it’s not time to be passive. Main Street folks collectively hold more power than we realize. To illustrate this, note that Elon Musk’s net worth is currently about $140 billion. He’s the single richest person in the world. And Musk paid $44 billion for Twitter, about half of which came out of his own pocket. The rest was funded by other investors. Let’s compare that to a rough estimate of Main Street wealth – hard-working American households who believe in family, faith, and freedom. People like you and me, who the elites hate and want to control. Ready for some Main Street Math?
$7 trillion in Main Street wealth (using very conservative estimates). $7 trillion! That’s 50 Elon Musks. $7 trillion buys 160 Twitters that can be taken back from authoritarian wackos. It buys 42 Disneys. Wouldn’t you like to fire the groomer radicals and return the company to a safe place for families? It buys 18 Walmarts, where you can stop importing so many cheap goods from China and instead send those orders to American manufacturers. Walmart makes $15 billion in profits every year, so there’s room for a new Walmart that’s built on Main Street values (like it used to be) to make plenty of money and better serve their communities. Bonus: Blackrock is only worth $108 billion. Main Streeters could buy that with the change in their couch cushions. Yes, it’s far-fetched to believe that 58 million Main Street households are going to show up at once and pledge their entire net worth to close a deal for Walmart. It’s more complicated than that. The point of this illustration is that the power of Main Street wealth is immense. Very few would have believed that someone like Elon Musk could show up and close a deal for a public company like Twitter. But he did. Start thinking about the power Main Streeters have. You can spend time imagining what’s possible without getting bogged down in figuring out what’s practical. No one makes progress that way. Main Streeters are players and we often don’t realize it. It’s time to think big. But maybe it helps to first start by thinking small. The Power of One MoreEd Mylett is a businessman and performance coach who wrote a book called The Power of One More. It’s about the impact of doing just a little more. One more rep at the gym. One more sales call. One more day avoiding that addiction. It’s not about focusing on some massive result. It’s about focusing on that one, little extra push. And that one more adds up over time to create spectacular results. The whole world is currently engaged in a massive tug-o-war between the elites and Main Streeters of all stripes. As you know, tug-o-wars are often stalemated. Both teams pulling as hard as they can with the rope going nowhere. But if just one extra person jumps on the rope it can be enough to pull their team to victory and send the other team crashing into the mud pit. We’re in one of those stalemates now. The Elites have fewer members, but they are bigger and stronger and all roided out like The Liver King (and The Rock). Main Streeters have way more people than the elites. We don’t have the brute strength, but we have the numbers. If we use teamwork and strategy, we win. We just explored the astounding amount of resources Main Streeters have as a group. And we recognize how hard it can be to get so many people on the same page at once. But every beginning starts somewhere. For now, all that means is we need one more - just one more - to jump on the rope and start pulling in whatever way they can. You in? This is the way. God bless and God bless America, -Jeff and Luke |
