🔮 Our Analysis
As the most popular internet browser, Google Chrome is the program connecting the most people to the internet. But whether you use Chrome or another program as your primary internet browser, you likely have the same basic experience of tabs and a search bar. And while Chrome and its competitors do innovate on the traditional browser by adding features with each update, they have been iterating on the same experience for years. SigmaOS brings a fresh take on the internet browser. Some of its notable features include Workspaces, Collaborative Workspaces, and Split Screen. Workspaces allow users to group tabs by project. Collaborative Workspaces are workspaces that enable teammates and friends to browse together. Split Screen allows the user to open a separate page to the side and eliminates the need to create and organize multiple browser windows. This all adds up to a browsing experience that enables newer and more productive workflows. Even minor features, like the ability to rename tabs or search anywhere, feel designed to make the browser into a true productivity tool. However, SigmaOS faces significant challenges. In addition to competing with established and well-known players, its business model requires it to convince users to pay for a service they have expected to be free for over two decades. Despite this, we’re optimistic for SigmaOS’s future and are excited to see its market share grow.
