Range

Tesla Model S sets new record in EV winter range test 📹
The Tesla Model S Long Range demonstrated a range of 530 kilometers (329 miles) at temperatures of -5°C and -10°C (14°F to 23°F). In this test, the Model X Plaid came in second with a range of 444 kilometers (276 miles). This performance is particularly impressive considering the commonly held belief that electric vehicles do not function well in colder climates.

Cybertruck

Cybertruck prototype spotted on Palo Alto 📷
What it's likely a production candidate, with only minor modifications expected between this version and the final production version according to Elon, was spotted this week in Palo Alto, California. What are your thoughts?

Production Cybertruck will have the red light bar
After viewing the photo above, our friend John from TOSV tweeted to Elon saying, "The red light bar looks 100 times better." Elon replied and confirmed that the production version will indeed have the red light bar.

Cybertruck four-wheel steering 📹
Four-wheel steering is a system in which the rear wheels of a vehicle can be controlled independently, leading to improved maneuverability and stability. The technology enables the rear wheels to turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels, facilitating tighter turns and providing a smaller turning radius. A video showcasing the Cybertruck prototype demonstrating this feature on the factory floor can be seen here.

Cybertruck prototype on the road 📹
Another video of the Cybertruck prototype was spotted this week, this time while it was moving on the streets of Palo Alto.

FSD Beta

v11 tougher than expected
In response to John's inquiry about FSD v11.3, Elon stated that while the development of v11 has proven to be more challenging than expected, he still anticipates shipping it by the end of the week. v11 will feature a unified stack (FSD and Autopilot), a substantial re-architecture of the NNs, and the replacement of C++ code responsible for controlling the vehicle with the NNs' outputs. If I were to receive a dollar for every time that the release of v11 was said to be only a few days or weeks away, I would certainly have a few dollars. 😁

Model Y

Model Y price increase again 📷
There have been several adjustments to the price of the Model Y in recent weeks, with the latest being an increase from $53,500 to $54,990 for the Long Range version, and from $56,990 to $57,990 for the Performance version. Congratulations to those who made their purchase while prices were more favorable!

Deep Blue Metallic from GigaBerlin 📷
Take a first look at the Deep Blue Metallic from Giga Berlin, deliveries of which are expected in July/August. Honestly, these new colors from Giga Berlin look fantastic!

🤓 What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • EV - Electric Vehicle
  • FSD - Full Self-Driving
