This year, we’ve expanded it into 50 places we think are well worth your dollar. The list is broken out to help you navigate places like bucket-list destinations, family friendly spots, luxury on a budget, winter wonderlands, and great places for solo travelers.

To determine the list, we fielded recommendations from our panel of travel experts, our readers and Money staffers, then compiled data on airfare, lodging and other local expenses to hone in on destinations that offer a host of appealing activities for visitors that don’t break the bank.
