Write of Passage Weekly - You Can Publish in a Day

This month, we're hosting Writing Sprints — workout classes for your mind — to take you from an idea to a published piece of writing in one day.  There is one more Sprint this month. Join us next Friday, June 23, to get your ideas out of your head and into the world.

Whew, what a workout! My fingers are still sore from all the keystrokes we logged during our Sprint last Saturday.

A group of students published their writing online — some for the first time. That’s an achievement worth celebrating. Here are three of the pieces that were written, edited, and published during last weekend’s Writing Sprint:

“AI and Proof of Personhood”

Charles Rubenfeld forecasts the downfall of customer service calls, due to the rise of AI, and imagines a world where phone lines are flooded with non-human callers.

“The Joy of Doing Hard Things”

Bennett Jacobs reflects on a dodgy river crossing on a hike the Pacific Northwest and argues that the best way to bond with friends is to do difficult things together.

“Outsourced Epiphanies”

Danny Oak offers a framework for discovering good ideas. Could one thoughtful question from a friend cause you to update your perspective on life and work?
