I just made a new page on my site, and the backend is a Google Sheet.

I've create a testimonials page. That can be added to by you.

Let me tell you about this page and the sheet.

Basically I got a regular sheet, with a form attached. But instead of just leaving it as a sheet, I wrote 3 lines of Apps Script that allows me to deploy a web app on Google's Servers that the site reads and gets all the testimonials.

But wait...

what if someone writes something that's well.. not good.

Not a bad review, I mean like someone finds this form and enters dirty words.

What I've done is created a form intake, and then each review I click a checkbox in a column marked "Approve" and that then shows up on the "Display" tab. Which is the tab that the website is reading.

On the website, it's a single fetch call to a web app url, in a google server, to my google sheet.

In the sheet, it's a filter on the "Display" tag from the google form responses.

You can see the Formula with FILTER(). It takes the approved testimonials and shows them on the "Display" tab.

Hey wait...

What if someone writes something that's too long. Or too word. Or too verbose.

I click a checkbox in the Edit column, and an onEdit() apps script copies the line and puts it unapproved just under the row.

That way, I can edit the text and approve it.

This isn't to edit bad review to good ones. It's just to clean up some of the long reviews. Or fix any spelling mistakes, while being able to keep the original in it's original form.
