51% response rate (the optimal email length)

Over 40M emails were analyzed by Boomerang to uncover the secret on what the optimal email length should be to get the highest response rate.

Here's what they found:

1. 75-100 word emails have the highest response rate: 51%

2. Response rates declined slowly from 50% for 125-word messages to about 44% for 500-word messages.

3. Then it stayed flat (44%) until about 2000 words.

4. Above 2500 words, response rates tumbled to below 35%.
