It's with so much joy I write to you this "rebel newsletter" before the story goes live in the media 🌶️😉I started The Bloom 3 years ago while working as an intern at the United Nations, frustrated by the lack of an accessible, joyful, and intersectional resource for diverse social impact leaders like me.

As an Egyptian-Italian feminist entrepreneur, I believe we urgently need more social impact resources shaped by DIVERSE global voices – and what especially motivates me is a joyful urgency to create practical resources to learn what it takes to thrive in social impact careers, connect with others working in social impact, and find the resources to empower your work.

It's with this burning love that I present to you Their Secret Sauce 🔥In Their Secret Sauce, you will learn from the most powerful women in the world on the ONE skill, the secret sauce, essential to the journey to power in social change 🕊️

Their Secret Sauce is funded through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is presented by the Women’s Funding Network (WFN), the world’s largest network of gender justice funders, spanning six continents and moving $1.4 billion in annual grantmaking to advance women, girls, and gender nonconforming people around the world. WFN CEO Elizabeth Barajas Roman and I received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to launch this podcast.

In Season 1 you learn from trailblazing grassroots activists, musicians (in the coming months we will spotlight in The Bloom the PHENOMENAL all-women's orchestra whose music is featured in Their Secret Sauce), tech leaders, philanthropists, creatives – and in honor of her upcoming Penguin Random House book 'Racial Wellness', we begin with the social media, design & education icon: Jacquelyn Iyamah.
