1. Show how many people completed an action on your site

What’s the tactic?

Drive conversions on high-traffic pages by displaying the total number of people who have recently taken an action. For example, show the number of opt-ins, webinar registrations, or trials in the past 24 hours. This helps to show your authority and create FOMO, encouraging visitors to convert.

What was the result?

Proof built a tool which automates this process. They embedded it on their homepage, to display the number of conversions to product trials. Following an A/B test based on 32K visitors, the page which featured the social proof resulted in an increase in conversion of 53%.

2. Add UGC to your product images

What’s the tactic?

Add UGC (user-generated content) to your product image gallery. This will help make your content more relatable to the customer.

What was the result?

This tactic helped Daniel Chabert increase Miamily’s conversion rate by 65.9%, and RPV (revenue per visitor) by 59.54%.

3. Use SMS to increase survey responses

What’s the tactic?

Introduce SMS as an additional channel to your email workflows when sending out customer surveys.

What was the result?

Immediately after introducing SMS, Magnet Trade’s post-purchase survey completion rate doubled. A few weeks later, the rate settled at a 33% increase in conversions.

What’s the tactic?

What was the result?

Taylor Lagace and his team applied this tactic to WildBird’s ad account, testing a backlog of numerous previous and untested creatives. In 1 month, they increased ROAS (return on ad spend) by 97%, AOV (average order value) by 53%, and decreased CAC (cost per acquisition) by 22%.

5. Allow leads to schedule their own appointments

What’s the tactic?

Once a lead fills out a form on your website, send them an automated email with a link to schedule their appointment. You can do this using an appointment scheduling tool, such as Calendly. (Of course, you can also test embedding the scheduling tool directly onto your website, in place of the form.)

What was the result?

Brad Ball states that this led to a 70% conversion rate on the scheduling, and a 90% show up rate for the meetings. It also reduces the need to chase up cold leads manually.
