#26 How Skool.com is silently becoming a mammoth community platformHere are the secrets of Skool's growth playbook
Privately launched towards the end of 2019, Skool.com hosts about 1000 communities today. Unlike Discord servers and Facebook groups, these are revenue-generating paid communities. Skool is bootstrapped and consistently growing - launching new features, acquiring more users, and hiring employees, indicating a cashflow-positive business. Surprisingly, Skool is mostly absent from mainstream startup media coverage and discussions on social platforms, strikingly contrasting with its more famous, bigger, and VC-funded rivals. But Skool is making itself known to the people who matter - its market, thus looking like a well-oiled, lean growth machine. A study of Skool's growth strategies made me realize that they are driving most of the growth using strategies other than paid ads. Hence, you can take a leaf out of Skool's book to grow your SaaS business. Let's dive right into its growth playbook. A collection of proven SaaS growth strategiesOften, it takes a lot of trial and error to figure out the growth strategies that work for a business. The process costs a lot of time, resources, and opportunities. To inspire new growth ideas and facilitate well-informed brainstorming, I am building a repository of proven SaaS growth strategies and tactics for each stage of the customer lifecycle, from acquisition to activation and monetization. I am writing on every aspect of SaaS growth. I'm including strategies, tactics, examples, nuances, and detailed steps for each post so you do not have to waste your time and resources figuring things out. And, there is community support - a Discord channel where you can ask questions, discuss ways to customize a strategy for your business, and share experiences with like-minded folks - a place for meaningful conversations and adding value.
