GrowthHackingIdea - 100% opt-in rate [my case study]
Opt-in pages are created to get emails.
If you could get an email without your landing/opt-in page you'd be able to remove it from the funnel all together = you'd have a 100% conversion rate for opt-ins.
Here are the channels that technically can give you emails:
1. Twitter Lead Generation Card.
2. Cold email outreach
3. "Guest emailing" - promotion in someone else’s email list.
Personally, I utilized cold email outreach for my 2nd startup.
Our cold email had this line: "You can click here to activate your membership (it'll take 1 second)." After clicking on this "Leadlink" a user was automatically subscribed and redirected to a "Thank you" page.
Our numbers:
1. CTR: 12% (after 80 A/B tests)
2. Opt-in rate: 100% (no landing page = automatic opt-in)
3. Unsubscribe rate: 3.5%
Unsubscribe rate heavily depended on the value we gave in our first email. We A/B tested here a lot until our Net Promoter Score achieved 8.2 (out of 10).
