• The Marshall Islands was the setting for a recent video that went viral. Huge waves smashed into a military facility in the RMI, according to reporting from ABC 13 and CNN. The Marshall Islands have quite low elevation making them extreeeeemely vulnerable to rising sea levels.

  I think most people have already seen this video, and I also think it bears revisiting, resharing, reviewing.

  • Initially, I subscribed to Pacific Winds to keep an eye on what the Guam-based think tank PCIS was up to. Pacific Winds has quickly become one of the newsletters on my must-read list. I don’t know anyone else providing a consistent roundup of news focused on U.S.-China relations and its impact on the Pacific islands. It’s quite a handy collection of links.
