For the better part of a decade, Medasin has produced Flume-like fusions of festival EDM and bedroom beats. Last Friday he released an ambient album called sounds, a departure from his previous work. Recorded to tape and improvised with collaborators he bills as “the goatiest goats,”¹ the record channels Carlos Niño and friends, capturing spontaneous jam sessions over pacific pads.
