We keep hearing that people’s attention spans are shrinking...

But here’s an interesting twist:

Short-form videos are getting longer.

Three years ago, the average was 13 seconds. Today, it’s 44 seconds.

TikTok reported that users are now spending half their time on the app watching content that’s over a minute long.

Keeping people engaged that long isn’t easy. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking videos, blog posts, or ads.

I like to use bold statements to hook my audience:

You’re wasting your time on SEO.

No one opens emails!

I have 3.8 million followers, and it’s useless.

This strategy works well for me, but that doesn’t mean it will work for you.
