Short form content is the worst thing we could consume… and I consume way to much….

I’ve been finding myself consuming short form content in order to find the answer to my solutions and I find myself becoming more and more confused.

As a content creator, short form content is great…. This is because you could get your message across to your potential customer in a world where attention spans are dwindling. But for us consumers, there’s literally nothing beneficial about it.

Why Short Form Content Is Bad

Not only that, but short form content also controls the way we consume other information & perform other tasks.. If we go to read books, we may find ourself skimming the pages instead of really diving deep into the information.

If we go to work out, we may find ourselves doing the most minimal work necessary instead of what will benefit us most.

“how we do anything is how we do everything” is a quote I love… And because content consumption is a vast majority of peoples daily habits, how we consume content is likely how we’ll do other things.

Short form content may give us “data”or “facts, but it doesn’t give us deep knowledge….

In order to excel and get ahead of everyone else we must be able to choose the hard path. In this scenario, it’s watching the hour long YouTube video that will give us life changing knowledge instead of binging an hours worth of Instagram reels…. That includes me as well.

How I’m Going To Avoid Short Form Content

The only times i’d say short form content is good is if the content creator….

Amazon Influencer Program: I just started the Amazon Influencer Program… I got accepted by linking my Instagram account to it and uploaded my first video, which got approved. I still have to upload 2 more videos to the program before I could get the revenue sharing feature on my account. My goal is to go ahead and add 100 videos to the program as fast as possible and see where it gets me.

Pinterest Plus Midjourney Blog Case study: I’ve slowed down a bit on uploading to the blog, but I have pins automatically pinning until May 5th. I’m going to pick up on this during the weekend. My goals is to do a huge content push and have pins scheduled at 10 per day for the rest of the year.
