Use Artificial Intelligence To Help You. But Don't Fully Rely On It.

In a recent post on the Futurism's The Byte publication, the author of the piece points to a study that was done that shows that 52% of ChatGPT answers are WRONG!

This isn't surprise to me one bit. I am concerned though, because so many people follow AI blindly and this is too big a margin of error for that to happen. Especially in the business and even more so marketing space.

I've always said that AI is good to get the rough draft done, but is NEVER ready for primetime straight out of the LLM. NEVER!

So far AI isn't just getting things wrong, it's flat out dangerous, like telling people jump off the Golden Gate Bridge if they're depressed or put non-toxic glue on their cheese pizza to help it stick better. These are two clear WTF answers.

Ultimately, I'm not telling anyone to stop using AI. Absolutely use it, but check it, check it, check it.

• Threads Launches API To Facilitate Broader Posting and Analytics Options
  This is a good move for Threads and these features will make it much more useable and add a stickiness factor to the platform.
• Perplexity Is a Bullshit Machine
  Another good piece on why you need to take AI's answers with a grain of salt.
• AI tool forecasts new COVID variants
  So on one hand AI is bullshitting answers but then on the other side it's helping predict the next strain of Covid. What a strange technology. 😜
• AI Images in Google Search Results Have Opened a Portal to Hell
  Well this isn't a good thing. Ugh. AI go home. 😵‍💫What could possibly go wrong here. Google should have (but of course didn't) realize that it needs to be the adult in the room and go about AI responsibly. Oops that didn't happen.
• Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas responds to plagiarism and infringement accusations
  Seems fishy that they're using a 3rd party web crawler and that they can't tell it to obey the robots.txt files on Websites. This tech bro is just looking for an out.
