New study shows what Google considers “helpful content”

Here are some of the key factors they identified:

  • Content must demonstrate thorough expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T).
  • The use of related topics and keywords is crucial (known as semantic SEO).
  • Faster load times and smaller HTML sizes positively impact rankings.
  • Comprehensive content that’s well-optimized for user intent ranks better.
  • Informational searches require more comprehensive topic coverage than buyer intent searches.
  • Domain authority is a significant ranking factor.
