Forbes - What Do Americans Want?

COVID-19 has now officially killed more Americans than any flu in the past 60 years, and the deaths are continuing. It’s easy to know how politicians and other leaders feel about the pandemic; just look at the news. But what’s the average American’s take? According to a new poll, two-thirds of Americans have great faith in the CDC and healthcare providers, while less than a third trust the president on healthcare issues. Although more Republicans than Democrats want the economy to immediately return to normal, the majority of all Americans agree that it’s too soon to lift social distancing measures completely. Another finding: trust in media is still extremely low. Ouch.
