Cybertruck

Beautiful Cybertruck wrapped and protected with Feynlab products ðŸ“¹
[Sponsored] This Cybertruck just got the ultimate treatment—wrapped in PPF and coated with Feynlab’s PPF & Vinyl Ceramic Coating. It’s looking 🔥🔥🔥

Cybertruck configurator now open to US customers
Tesla has opened its US online configurator for the Cybertruck Foundation Series, allowing customers to directly place orders without needing a prior reservation. The opening aims to increase sales for the limited Foundation Series, which includes exclusive perks and is available until Q3 2024, after which the Cybertruck will become $20K cheaper as non-Foundation Series production begins. Additionally, the future Dual-Motor AWD Cybertruck might qualify for a Federal Tax Credit if it meets price requirements.

Tesla will install your Cybertruck's lightbar, but won't plug it in
Tesla is preparing to equip the Cybertruck with a roof-mounted lightbar designed solely for off-road use. Despite installation by Tesla technicians, the company legally cannot connect the lightbar to the vehicle’s power due to regulatory standards. Owners are informed that they must complete the connection themselves following specific instructions. Additionally, a blackout film is applied to ensure the lightbar cannot be used on public roads inadvertently, reflecting Tesla’s compliance with safety regulations. This accessory mirrors Tesla’s approach with removable mirrors, emphasizing user responsibility and legal compliance.

FSD

Model 3's with unique camera setup spotted 📷
Three Tesla Model 3 vehicles were seen at a Supercharger featuring an unusual camera arrangement, including a front bumper camera. This setup, notably missing side mirrors, looks similar to what we've seen for the Robotaxi.

Tesla's Autopilot faces narrow streets and busy pedestrians ðŸ“¹
Tesla FSD isn't available in Europe, so this Tesla owner decided to put basic Autopilot to the test on the challenging streets of a medieval city. Highlighting its capability to smoothly handle pedestrian interactions and navigate tight turns, the system displays impressive precision even without full self-driving features. However, limitations remain, as seen with occasional confusion around construction zones and the strict reliance on visible road markings. As someone who uses FSD v12.5 all the time, I can't wait until Tesla can release it in Europe!

Superchargers

Tesla's Hollywood diner features stainless steel & LED screens 📹
Tesla's nostalgic Hollywood Diner, under construction in West Hollywood, blends retro aesthetics with modern technology, featuring stainless steel siding and two 45ft LED screens for outdoor movie viewing. The diner, aiming to be completed by end of 2024, will also incorporate Superchargers and provide an immersive customer experience through a new 'Diner Experience Specialist' job role.

Community

Follow Teslatino around the USA
My good friend Rafael, aka Teslatino, has been traveling around the USA in his Cybertruck for quite some time now. He is continuously improving his Cybetruck, now with a killer wrap, an awesome camping set up, etc. As he continues his adventure, Rafael is producing and posting a lot of content. If you want to tag along in this incredible adventure, give him a follow!

Semi

Tesla Semi set to electrify European trucking
Tesla's plans for the Semi truck in Europe are becoming clear with a new job listing for a Head of Business Development position. This role focuses on selling the Semi in Europe, establishing customer relationships, and coordinating the roll-out, including infrastructure for the Megawatt Charging System (MCS). With the Semi expected to begin high-volume production in late 2025, its 800km range and rapid recharging capabilities offer a strong value proposition for the European trucking market.

New Options

FSD, supercharging & connectivity bundle for Model S/X
Tesla is offering a $5,000 bundle for Model S and X that covers a 3-year subscription to Full Self-Driving (Supervised), free Supercharging, and Premium Connectivity services. Tesla estimates the value of the bundle to be $8,000, but the community believes it’s closer to $5,000. This makes it a less appealing incentive unless Supercharging is your primary method of charging your Tesla.

New quicksilver color for Model 3 now in North America ðŸ“·
Tesla has introduced the new Quicksilver color option for the Model 3 in North America. Besides the appealing new hue, Tesla is offering attractive incentives like 1.99% APR financing and a free paint upgrade with the purchase of Full Self-Driving (FSD) for the Model 3 Performance.

🤓 What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • FSD: Full Self-Driving
  • MCS: Megawatt Charging System
  • PPF: Paint Protection Film
