A ton of our brands are confused about this...

Sometimes, despite all the effort we put into Wolf Craft, a simple, lo-fi approach is what actually helps us grow.

Every now and then, someone asks us for something that’s not on our official list of services. Last week, it happened twice—for the exact same request.

Two people wanted feedback on their media pitches.  And one person wanted feedback on their media list.

Did I pick the best images?

Will my opening paragraph catch an editors eye?

Will an editor think my product is a good fit based on what I wrote?

Did I pick the right editors for my product?

We knew we could give good feedback here so, of course we said yes! They emailed us their materials. We responded with a custom video with specific feedback for them. It included specific ways to tighten up their pitches so they’d have a better chance at securing a placement!

If you’ve been sending the media pitches and would like a second set of eyes, reply to this email and let us know! We’ll review your work. Starts at $75 for a pitch review.

Show, Don't Tell

Why PR isn't Advertising.
aka What is Earned Editorial Anyway?

Maybe you’ve had this question…

I want my brand  featured in the media, but will I have to pay???

One of the biggest misconceptions about getting press is that brands pay for this coverage. Your confusion is understandable. Advertisements are a huge part of media, and media placements are often surrounded by ads.

To add to the confusion, press placements are called “Earned Editorial”, which can make it sound like someone is buying media coverage.

Earned Editorial actually means that editors select work to publish based solely on merit. The decision makers, aka the editors, believed that the work was good enough to feature. No money exchanges hands. Placement is *earned* making it Earned Editorial coverage.

This is good news for you, dear reader. With a bit of training, you too can get earned media—just like the examples below.
