I just enjoyed a Masterclass from Janis Ozolins. We’ve been connected on 𝕏 for years and I love his work. 

He’s a master at turning words into engaging images.

Loaded with energy from his talk I’m sitting behind my laptop typing this. 

What I enjoyed the most was his simple approach.

For every post you make, wether it’s a text or an image, do this:

Convey one idea per post

If the idea is too complex or too big to explain in one tweet, break it down into multiple posts; create a thread!

Does the idea flow

Once the post is done, read it again. Digest it again. Does it flow? Does it (almost) read like literature? Or is does it feel separated? 

Is it clear and easy to consume

Can you remove words? Can you use simpler words a five year old can understand?

Think about content consumption the same way as running. Do people need to spend minutes on your post or can they consume it in seconds and don’t need to run a (figurative) marathon to comprehend what you created?

Allie Mason announced that Instagram is releasing a new feature for Broadcast Channels. Some creators can now enable replies in their channels, allowing subscribers to add comments directly within the channel.

Replies won’t appear in the main broadcast. Instead, users can tap on a specific announcement to view previous replies and add their own.

One cool trend they spotted: longer short videos are gaining traction on YouTube and TikTok. Meanwhile, those super short clips? They’re not getting as much love on TikTok anymore.
