Do you ever follow someone and think to yourself

“Wow, they understand what I was thinking”

Then they start sharing their story and you realize they are human beings too.

You begin to connect with them on this personal level even though you’ve never met them.

But one day you stop seeing them on your social feed, and they start posting newer types of content, they go viral and appeal to the masses.

And now that connection you had with them is gone.

They finally reached the INFLUENCER status. This is a GRAVEYARD. It’s where most creators die.

“Wait, what do you mean Wiz, they got more followers, more eyes, and more people to convert”

Well, let’s dissect what “more followers” does.

To reach more people you have to post content that gets more people to resonate with it.

More 5generic content, content that appeals to the masses.

The issue with the masses is, THEY ARE NOT YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE.

Targeting the masses will make you into an INFLUENCER. You begin optimizing your content for views. You have a massive audience with a tiny lead flow, and you begin playing A STATUS game.

And that’s where we have to ask ourselves the question:

Do you want status? Or do you want to make some money?

Those 100,000+ followers are a waste, it’s a vanity metric.

How do I know this? Because I have 208,000 followers across all my social media accounts.

And I’m making nearly the same amount as I was with 50,000.

The more people I reach, the more I have the change my content to appeal to these masses.
