The first Thanksgiving after I quit my job to start my business was… brutal 😆

I knew the question was coming.

And, sure enough, my drunk uncle kicked things off with:

“So Pat, how’s your little startup going?”

OMFG.

I tried to explain how excited I was about it.

Even if it was barely covering rent…

But after a few concerned looks, I knew I had lost them.

And then my mom—bless her soul—ended the conversation with:

“Well, once you’re done with that, you can go back to your real job.”

f*cking hell, Mom 😆
