CB Insights - who got PPP money?

Hi there, 

When the Paycheck Protection Program data was issued by the SBA on Monday, it was important to us to get this data onto CB Insights for our clients so they can have a complete view of the financing history of private, investor-backed companies.

And so with the work of our team and our company-matching API, that data went live on CB Insights < 36 hours after being issued. You can view all 9,657 investor-backed (VC, PE) companies that received PPP loans here on the Paycheck Protection Program profile.

If you want to query the data and filter by geo, investor, total $ raised, etc., this search will enable that.

Here are some interesting things we’ve observed in the data:

• Some well-capitalized cos HQ’d in China raised PPP
• 125 companies were acquired after receiving PPP

• 429 companies raised financing rounds after receiving PPP
