How To Create A Home Office | The Harm Of Rude Work Emails | Job Interview Storytelling Secrets

Hi Forbes Careers readers,

I’ve been putting off starting a home office for about six months now. Call me
ridiculously optimistic, but I had been holding out hope that I would return to the office—and my ergonomic desk chair—sometime this year. Yet there I was last Thursday, lugging a 56-pound, three-shelf ladder desk up to my second floor apartment, bemoaning our work from home plight.

If, like me, you are still waiting to fix up your home work area, here are some tips on how to get started. Once you’ve settled into your new workspace, you may be ready to host your own virtual conference. Try these seven tips to help the event run smoothly. And much like remote conferences, virtual meetings don’t have to be a snooze. Here are five simple activities that take under ten minutes to try at your next one.

Cheers,

Kristin

P.S. Many C-suite leaders are throwing out their playbooks during this pandemic, but Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya did it first. “In the long term, you always get the reward for doing things right,” he said in an interview with Forbes contributor David Hessekiel. Ulukaya’s comments about his “anti-CEO playbook” make for a great inspirational read this week.
