Supporting Native women+

We found out last week that a record number of Native American women are headed to the 117th Congress. Amazing news. But also, that “record” is now three women (sigh). It’s safe to say the work to drive long-term economic change and equality for Native women+ is just getting started.

This Native American Heritage Month, I’m challenging myself to find real ways not only to celebrate Native American women+, but to support them. I’ve bookmarked this list of 100 ways to be an ally to Native people and hope you’ll do the same.

One of my personal faves on that list? Buying from businesses owned and operated by Native American women+. The Ellevest team is putting together a directory that our community can shop from this holiday season, and we’d love your recommendations.
