The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, whose missteps in the early stages of the pandemic led to critical delays in the creation and distribution of functioning coronavirus tests, now says Americans should be wearing a mask whenever they are indoors, except perhaps in their own home. The finding by the federal agency comes after President-elect Joe Biden said he would ask all Americans to wear masks for 100 days. Here is the latest on the pandemic. —David E. Rovella
