Setting Up Your Hybrid Office | Inside Andy Jassy's Fortune | How Reed Hastings Built Netflix's Culture

Last night, Tom Brady led his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to a Super Bowl win, a second for the sports franchise and a seventh for him personally. Whether or not you cheered for Brady and the Bucs, the game was full of great moments to witness, including the 43-year-old quarterback connecting not once but twice with old friend, former New England Patriots teammate and tight end Rob Gronkowski to score touchdowns—a fabulous and record-breaking display of camaraderie and teamwork.

Indeed, that duo’s connection is being celebrated this morning, an example of what’s possible when two people sync to create a great outcome.

While it’s not quite the spectacle we saw on the Super Bowl gridiron, that’s what we seek to spotlight with the
Forbes CxO platform: Through this newsletter, our CxO Nexus interview series, research, stories and more, we uncover the C-suite executives and ways of collaborating that drive success in a changed world.

Elsewhere at Forbes, a reminder that we are looking for CIOs (and other IT executives of equivalent seniority) who wish to be considered for our inaugural Forbes CIO Next list. This will highlight tech leaders who are reshaping the role in fresh and exciting ways, from creating innovative digital channels for connecting with customers to rethinking how companies’ software development teams operate. If you know someone who fits this bill, please contact Senior Editor Martin Giles at mgiles@forbes.com for information about nominating them for the list.

And don’t miss the
latest CxO Nexus interview, a conversation with SAP, outgoing CMO Alicia Tillman and CIO Florian Roth, who talk about executive responsibility for growth and how alignment on goals is key.

Comings & Goings

Last Thursday, CNN President Jeff Zucker announced that he would be leaving the network at the end of the year. Under Zucker’s leadership, CNN dedicated a significant portion of its programming to covering the Trump administration; his departure could indicate the company is embarking on a new chapter.

Deborah Liu, vice president of
Facebook’s Marketplace, will be the next CEO of Ancestry.com, starting March 1. An 11-year veteran of the social network, Liu has also held director-level positions at Paypal and eBay.

Leadership & Strategy

If your business is considering adopting a hybrid work plan where employees can work from home or the office, consider these three steps. Number one: Define the options.

A business’ culture is often defined from the top down. Leaders need to be careful how they communicate, especially when
navigating political conversations in their organizations.

Are you looking to cultivate a more entrepreneurial corporate culture?
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings developed a system based on “freedom and responsibility” — here’s how you can replicate it.

Andy Jassy Owns More Amazon Stock Than Any Employee Except Jeff Bezos. And He’s Still Not A Billionaire.

In the past week, Andy Jassy—Jeff Bezos’ chosen successor—went from a relative unknown to one of the most prominent businessmen on the planet. But don’t expect him to top Forbes’ list of the world’s richest people any time soon. Despite being Amazon’s second largest individual shareholder after Bezos, Jassy’s fortune is a comparatively modest $440 million.
