Perks Employees Want During A Pandemic | Meet America’s Best Employers | How To Set Boundaries With A Toxic Coworker

Hi Forbes Careers readers,

A friend of mine who is hot on the job search recently shared with me a job posting that I found particularly interesting. Just below the job description was a section titled “Pandemic-Related Benefits.” It included things like one
mental health day per quarter and a $100 work-from-home stipend per month.

These futuristic perks are so important for recruiting during a global pandemic. Unsurprisingly, employees have a new set of expectations. Here are five things they really want from their employers in 2021. Once you’ve landed top talent, reduce costly employee turnover by assigning new hires mentors on day one. Try these seven steps when starting an interactive mentorship program. If you want to truly inspire your new teammates, surprise them by focusing on their brand, not the company’s. Here are four ways to ensure your onboarding program is people-centric.

Cheers,

Kristin

More and more companies are vowing to switch to a hybrid model of work. Here are eight ways you can sustain your company’s culture with remote workers.

Learn To Lead

Even if you are not a crisis management professional, you can still develop the skills to support your company during hard times. Here are three ways to lead during (and after) a crisis.

If laughter is the best medicine, then we really need it right now. Managers should try these four ways to use humor at work.

You're human, and as such, you’re going to make mistakes. It’s important that your employees see you as approachable. Use these three communication skills to become a more respected leader.

Overcome Obstacles

If you feel drained or negative after interacting with a coworker, take this as a sign. Here are three ways you can identify a toxic colleague and set healthy boundaries.

A recent study found that a majority of managers are doubting their ability to lead. This is how to overcome the rise of executive imposter syndrome.

Everyone wants to do well at work, but one personality trait could torpedo your career. Here are three simple ways to break free from the shackles of perfectionism.
