What business model would you rather invest in?

Earlier this week, I had a conversation with Travis Jamison of Investing.io (and a bunch of other businesses).

We dove deep into his investing strategies during our podcast interview right here.

Travis sold his business AMZTracker a few years ago for $10 million and now spends his time building and investing in a range of angel investments, online businesses, cryptocurrency, and more.

As we discussed the different types of businesses he invests in, something he said came as a bit of a surprise.

He said his venture investments are much riskier than the smaller bootstrapped online businesses he builds or invests in.

With angel investments, he and other investors are looking for hundreds of millions in valuation at some point in the long term future.

The founders are essentially locked in and investors would be upset if they only sold for $10 million.

Very few of these angel investments ever become anything close to a "unicorn".

But if just 1 of these investments makes it, it pays for all the other "failures".

However, the "smaller" bootstrapped ventures (like authority sites, online software tools, etc) are much safer in that you don't have to throw as much money at it to get a nice return.

If you are an online entrepreneur that has now turned investor looking to either buy online businesses or invest in other unique ways, Travis helped create a community for people like you.

Investing.io is a community for those buying and selling online assets or looking to bounce investment ideas off knowledgeable people.

Oh, and the community also have a newletter that you can join that is AMAZING.

Go ahead and join the Investing.io community and newsletter right here.

Thanks again,

Spencer
