IWillTeachYouToBeRich - Compounding is not just for money

Reader,

Most people know that compounding is a huge part of living a Rich Life. It’s why I encourage everyone to start investing as soon as they can.

In fact, compound interest is one of the 3 money concepts I would teach someone earning money for the first time. The other two are:

  • Spending extravagantly on what you love & cutting costs mercilessly on the things you don't
  • Automation

But here’s something most people don’t know: compounding works in all areas of life. Successful people know this, and it allows them to live a Rich Life.

Here’s what I mean.

I read academic paper after academic paper on compound interest. Not just as it relates to money, but as it relates to other parts of our life.

And these studies have found that compounding in life works similar to compound interest with money.

Here are a couple examples.

  1. Invest in yourself

This means investing in courses, conferences, and so on. Increasing your investment in yourself can pay off dramatically as you add skills.

  2. Invest in your body of work

Become better at what you do by spending more time — even outside of work — learning about your product, learning about your industry, and making friends with experts in your field.

  3. Invest in your social network

Go out to lunch with one VIP per week. At the end of five years, you’ll know more than 250 VIPs; at the end of 10 years, you’ll know more than 500. What kind of benefits do you think a network like that will give you?

  4. Invest in your social skills

I learned this one from being a super awkward weirdo. So I set out to learn everything I could: how to use tonality, smile, dress better, and so on.

This was a DRAMATIC accelerator for me in business, personal relationships, confidence, and more—every area of life.

So here’s my question for you.

What are the skills that you are building right now that can compound over time? What are the skills that you’re not building that are atrophying?

Here are some I recommend you work on. You can start any of these today:

  • Your personal network
  • Social skills
  • Dressing better
  • Becoming socially fluent
  • Going to conferences in your field, in person or virtual … and even giving presentations

Here’s a tip: You don’t have to know what those dividends will look like. You don’t have to know exactly how it’s going to pay off for you. But you need to be focusing on the skills that will pay off over time rather than ones that will only be short term and won’t last the test of time.

I invest heavily in myself. That amount is typically well over $50,000/year on courses, conferences, books, and meeting interesting people. But I’m also in the enviable position of being able to invest heavily … and then report back to you on the best insights I learn.

Looking back on my life, one of my biggest regrets is not investing in myself even more — and I’ve already been investing 100x more than most people!

This is because of compounding.

By investing over time and letting it compound, you gain the money, skills, and freedom to live your Rich Life. The best time to start was years ago, but the second best time is right now.

Another way you can invest in yourself: learning more about your mental frameworks.

Mental frameworks that compound success
I’ve studied top performers for years. What I learned is that they have different mental frameworks than most people, and that’s what helps them compound their efforts. This includes all kinds of people — best-selling authors, CEOs, celebrities, top entertainers, championship athletes, world-class negotiators, and more top-tier pros.

I went through the painstaking process of discovering, testing, and producing these mindsets, what I call Success Triggers. They've helped me live a Rich Life, and I'd like to share the same with you.

These frameworks will help you go from negative thinking to positive thinking…from scarcity to abundance…from low confidence to supreme confidence.

And I share them in my own words, with my own specific examples for each Success Trigger.

The Success Triggers course includes:

  • Over 5 hours of HD video filled with 30 of my most powerful Success Triggers — all fully transcribed and downloadable in video/audio formats
  • Full summaries of each Success Trigger, including the mental frameworks, examples, applied material, and study questions so you can seamlessly integrate these in your life TODAY
  • Regular reminders about each Success Trigger, including "apply-it-now" reminders that force you to implement
  • Access to Success Triggers FOR LIFE, so that you can achieve mastery with each framework. Revisit frameworks you need to improve on at any point. Plus, life gets in the way — you had already planned a vacation, or the birth of your firstborn — so we want to give you every chance to succeed

Remember the key with compounding: start as soon as you can. Click here to learn more about Success Triggers.
