Issue 169 - The Yoke is on you

Software updates

New V3 actively being worked on in Silverthorne 📷
Beautiful beautiful location in Colorado! The last picture shows a stall specifically designed for Teslas that are towing. With the Cybertuck coming soon, I hope to see more Superchargers offering these types of stalls.

Sentry Mode not working on Tesla Vision cars, known bug with no timeline to fix
Bummer, Sentry is one of those options that give us peace of mind and seems to not be working in Tesla Vision cars. I wonder why the radar pointed only forward, I would assume that Sentry uses the cameras and the ultrasonic sensors 🤷‍♂️

Buying second-hand

Tesla is at the apex of the used electric vehicle market 📷
Recently, the price of used vehicles skyrocketed and Teslas are selling even faster than the rest, take a look at the details in this article.

Factory reset takes 2 minutes and wipes everything 📷
In case you were wondering what is the best way of deleting all your data from your Tesla before selling it, the answer is doing a factory reset. It is easy and quick, it takes only two minutes.

Plaid

Tesla hints at Model S Plaid “Track Package” with large Zero G wheels in the parts catalog
It just makes sense that the fastest and most performing Tesla, for now, will have a "Track Package" option in the future. I also expect Tesla to release Track Mode for the Plaid in the coming months.

2022 Tesla Model S Plaid First Test: 0–60 MPH in 1.98 seconds
Following Tesla's instructions, using a prepped surface, MotorTrend was able to get a stunning 1.98 seconds in the 0-60mph. MotorTrend usually measures all their cars in normal conditions, in those the Tesla Plaid S did 0 to 60 mph in just 2.07 seconds, not bad!

Refreshed Model S/X

Yoke adventures 📹
As folks get more time with the Yoke they are now developing new habits that make using the Yoke second nature. As bonus points, go to 2:30 to see shifting gears on the screen as well as a gorgeous full-screen backup camera.

New Model S center console 📹
This cool gif shows how good-looking and configurable the new Model S center console is.

FSD

Tesla's FSD Beta downtown driving in 360 📹
Nice video by DirtyTesla testing a new mount that allows for him to show us around the car when needed.

FSD Subscription will cost less for those with EAP
This Reddit user discovered new messages that, potentially, will power the future subscription page. In it we can see that the FSD subscription will cost less if you have EAP, I guess it just makes sense since the features that you get from subscribing if you already have EAP are not as many as if you have basic AP.

💡 Tip of the week

You can clear past directions from your navigation history by pressing on them and swiping left.

🤓 What the acronym

As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • AP - Autopilot
  • EAP - Enhanced Autopilot
  • FSD - Full Self-Driving
