End notes
I’m conflicted. I went to my first in-person event last week (what else but the awesome RecFest?) and had a great time - outdoors and Covid-as-safe-as-it-could-be. It was fantastic to see so many friends from the industry, most of whom - like me - had been socially isolating in large part for the past 18 months. It was an essential reminder to the habitual hermits - like me - that going out and seeing people is generally a good thing to do.
I’m still worried about Covid, because we have not got this under control. And with Boris Johnson announcing ‘freedom day’ tomorrow, it’s pretty much clear the UK government has given up on trying. So it’s back to herd immunity for us here. Message to UK folks, get vaccinated - it’s going to be the only tool we have going forward. And me? I guess I am now officially back in circulation.
DM me on twitter or Instagram or TikTok if you want to chat.
Have a great week everybody.
