🏠 WorkMotion announces a $24m Series A. As VCs continue to bet big on remote working as a cure for talent shortages German startup WorkMotion plans to scale its platform for hiring and managing employees abroad. It joins plenty of other European companies working to facilitate remote recruitment.

🦄 Turkey gets its first 'decacorn'. Trendyol, an ecommerce platform based in Turkey, has raised $1.5bn in a massive funding round that values the company at $16.5bn. General Atlantic and SoftBank were among the investors co-leading the round.

🍔 Delivery Hero buys a 5.1% stake in Deliveroo. The rival delivery service acquired a stake at an average price of 270p. Following this, shares in Deliveroo rose by as much as 11%, to 360p. Niklas Oestberg, cofounder of Delivery Hero, unravels his reasoning for the buy in this thread.
