Hide Names & Photo's on LinkedIn

More feature roll out from LinkedIn - this time enabling the ability to ‘hide names and photo’s’ in LinkedIn Recruiter. Permissions are set at admin level, so expect this feature to be rolled down from corp - have this conversation internally now if you have a problem with it. The release highlights an interesting conundrum on how to de-bias sourcing - do we actively use less information (pretty much the French approach) or do we use more, in order to actively target under represented groups (aside from this example, the US approach)? Topic for a Brainfood Live I think.

This post is interesting for so many reasons; it’s about OnlyFans for a start, perhaps the first significant exemplar of a platform for the creator economy; it conducts relevant research on the potential earnings creators can expect to make (a figure platforms are incentivised to inflate) and also includes some interesting methodology on web scraping techniques at the end which may be of interest to our more technically minded readers. Interesting research from Gallup; headline figures are that 50% of the US employees are thinking about a new job; more interestingly is what it takes to move them - 20% compensation uplift if they like their manager, and next to nothing if they don’t.
