😳 Oops - Link fixed! 🚆🚧 Time for a rebuild

We’re following updates in Congress every step of the way
A lot is going on in the news right now. Let’s dive in.

One of the more pressing financial events to watch what’s going on in Congress with the next infrastructure bill. The Senate approved it last week, but that doesn’t mean it’s on a fast track to being signed into law.

Instead, Congress will continue with its formalities—which can be slow, as we all know. The good news is, the bill is bipartisan and has buy-in from both sides of the aisle, so it’s likely to pass at some point. It’s also full of initiatives that will make the country easier to live in, like making road improvements and bolstering public transit.

The House is also working on the Democrats’ Build Back Better plan through budget reconciliation, which means it won’t need buy-in from Republicans to pass. This will be the mack-daddy bill that aims to create millions of jobs while lowering child care, health care and higher education costs. But, again, there are quite a few formalities to get through before we see any of that become law.

Until then, enjoy what’s left of summer. We’ve got our eyes on the news and will update you as things start happening.
