4. Swipe-up stories: this is being replaced with stickers, still need 10K followers tho

This is the newest update from Reddit’s ad format, which was just announced on Thursday. The new ad will be sandwiched between the original post and the first comment.

The ad will have the company’s name, logo, image, display URL, short headline and a CTA.

Reddit’s inspiration for launching the Conversation Placement was the untouched opportunities that lead a large portion of readers to their conversation threads straight from an SEO search.

Their current ad structure, such as the in-feed ads, has no way to reach audiences whose journey leads them to conversation threads.

With over 600 businesses enrolled as testers over the past year, Reddit was able to gather some critical stats that users across all industries should take note of. These stats were based on In-Feed ads AND Conversation Placements together, businesses saw:

• 9% increase in CTR
• 10% increase in conversation rate
• 23% decrease in CPC
  ​

Given that Reddit’s Conversation Placement relies on SEO searches, having your ad visible put you in a pretty powerful position. Primarily since you can target specific interests, communities, create a custom audience and utilize negative keywords lists.
