PD is the disconnect between what you’ve objectively achieved and your feelings about it, per Codrea-Rado, and she said it exists at “the intersection of burnout, imposter syndrome, and anxiety.” She experienced PD after publishing her first book, and spoke with others who shared her struggle. “It was like a work version of Covid; I’d lost my sense of taste for accomplishment,” said California-based Designer Ben Uyeda. 

Now that you know productivity dysmorphia exists, here’s how to beat it: 

• Make time to celebrate your wins. Bonus points if it’s with people you love. 
• Save written wins (think: kind words in emails and on Slack) in a folder you can open and browse through whenever.
