Tip of the Day

Recycling is great, but reusing is better. Why buy a specialty paint cup at the hardware store when a Greek yogurt container is the same size and sturdiness?

Happy Monday! We don’t know about you but we’re pretty well stuffed with Halloween candy after this last weekend. If you’re wondering what to do with any leftover candy (assuming some survived the weekend!) here are some fun recipes to use up excess candy—or you could always freeze it.

And if the combination of chilly weather and too much candy has you feeling like hibernating, now’s a great time to check out everything new to Netflix this week to plan your hiber-binge-watching.

Speaking of cozy, this guide to making a hot cocoa gift basket is super cozy and fun. You can customize it however you want including varying the types of hot cocoa—chili hot chocolate anyone?—and everything else about it too.

Less fun than hot chocolate, but important: the fall Daylight Saving Time shift happens next weekend and we have some great tips to help get your kids adjust to DST.

And water cooler trivia? You know we have some. On this day in 1997, the film Titanic was shown publically for the first time at the Tokyo International Film Festival. The movie would go on to become one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
