November 10, 2021

In case you missed it, Google purchased Fitbit and is slowly rolling those fitness services into its other products. On the one hand, that could make for a brighter future when it comes to Wear OS. Better fitness capabilities in smartwatches is always a win.

On the other hand, it can also lead to some rather odd synergy. And that’s the case here, as Google announced its latest and greatest smart display feature would someday require a Fitbit subscription. Yep, you read that right. Check the top story for the details.

Other Highlights:

  • Wyze announced a new smart floodlight. It’s affordable, as always, and even has an optional yet handy trick up its sleeve.
  • May the Force be with you! The new LEGO AT-AT walker is ginormous!
  • Well, it’s about time we got some good news from Apple regarding DIY repairs.
  • …and more! Just keep scrolling, just keep scrolling. 🐟
